With some 25 years of professional experience, Brenda Lance is excited to bring her expertise as a teacher, performer, and collaborative pianist.  Based in the Vancouver, WA area, she serves both local and regional clients.

Brenda's passion for music extends to students of all ages, music levels, and cultural backgrounds through private lessons, master classes, and summer camps.  As a teacher, Brenda strives to provide a fun, interactive, and rigorous instructional program.  As an active member of the Washington State Teachers Association and the Music Teachers National Association, Brenda can offer K-12 students numerious performance opportunities that assist in building experience and confidence, establishing stronger mental focus, and creating a musical identity.  For her adult recreational players, she offers a program that provides both depth and enjoyment, culminating in greater musical and technical mastery.

​Whether she is providing solo or collaborative performances, Brenda draws on an extensive musical background, her professional experience, and a variety of styles and genres.  Her passion and commitment to musical integrity informs her connection to audiences.

Brenda's musical studies began at age five.  She studied with La Vella Briggs, Linda Zimmerman, Dr. James Johnson, Dr. Timothy Smith, and Dr. Rachelle McCabe.  She completed her studies with Dr. Matthew Cooper at Eastern Oregon University.  Among a few of her musical accomplishments, Brenda was the state winner at the age of 15 for the Baldwin Piano Competition for th the state of Alaska.  At age 16, Brenda was a featured emerging young artist in Alaska for a public television documentary.  Later, at age 17, she placed first with the Robert Schumann A Minor Piano Concerto, also for AKTA.  Brenda currently coaches with Dr. Jill Timmons, Artist/Teacher Affiliate with Classic Pianos nationwide.

When Brenda is not working in her studio or fulfilling performance engagements, she enjoys hiking, camping, and backpacking throughout the many scenic locations in the Northwest.
